This month, New Haven is participating in a state-wide e-waste recycling contest. First prize is a $3000 scholarship for New Haven schoolchildren. Please bring your electronic items to the New Haven Transfer Station (260 Middletown Ave) from Mon-Sat 9am-Noon. Examples of accepted materials include: • TVs • Monitors • Computers/Laptops • Printers, fax machines, and scanners • Keyboards, mice, power cords, etc. • VCRs, DVD players, DVRs, cable receivers • PDAs, portable digital music players, etc. • Cell Phones, telephones, telephone equipment, calculators, etc Please note that no lightbulbs or batteries are accepted.
